This project was intended to help high school students learn how to stretch properly. It can be used for all high school level physical education courses as well as some middle school students.

Who is Doc?

Doc is entering his 3rd year teaching Physical Education, Health and Wellness in the Hamilton County School Disitrict. He was a Sports Performance Director at Velocity Sports Performance. Prior to Velocity Sports Performance he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Northern Iowa. While coaching at Northern Iowa, his athletic teams enjoyed success including nationally ranked teams in football, volleyball and wrestling.

Over the course of his career he has trained numerous collegiate, Olympic,professional, national and international athletes in football, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, track and field and soccer.

Doc served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Brigham Young University. At BYU, he had responsibility for women’s basketball, gymnastics, and men’s track and field. He also had daily super vision for football and Olympic sport workouts. Prior to his position at BYU, he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at West Virginia University.

Doc received a BS in Exercise and Sport Science from Penn State University, and earned a master’s degree in Athletic Coaching with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning from West Virginia University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and a current member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and has current CPR certification.
